Travel Guide Module Now Live
In these days of ever increasing traffic congestion and with travel times continuously getting longer has your organisation ever wondered if there is an easier way of helping people arrive at your destination?
If so, your prayers have been answered thanks to a very clever new feature on The Workplace Travel Plan Company’s (WPTPC) website which makes the software even more comprehensive.
The recently introduced Travel Guide Module now offers a system which creates a site specific travel guide. The web-based package, which enables the client to construct and implement a Travel Plan, has been designed to minimise the negative effects of road congestion and this additional product will help to further combat this worsening problem.
Each guide shows how to get to and from any organisation’s location and can be emailed, printed and uploaded onto the client’s website. By listing all possible means of transport including foot, bicycle, bus, metro/underground, rail, ferry, air, taxi and car, the guide provides all the information a visitor will need, including useful contacts for arranging travel.
This enhancement to the original Travel Plan Builder website encourages visitors as well as employees to reconsider travel methods, and aims to create a positive snowball effect to make everyone aware of their travel options and social and environmental issues.
The Travel Guide will enable people to make an informed decision about their method of travel and will subsequently reduce the numbers arriving in single occupancy cars, and will therefore reduce traffic on the roads.
